New buck shifted on my lease night before last. Tough spot to hunt with deep ravines formed from drainage ditches coming off a gasoline storage facility that lead to catch ponds. He is crossing the RR tracks coming from a no hunting block onto my place.

Perfect east wind yest eve, I went after him, and the dude actually got by me crossing off my lease at 100y before I could get on him.

Well, he came back during the night. I'm set in the same place, hoping he follows the same route as yest eve. Really looking forward to playing the game with this fellow! I think he will go in the 120s... which is like killing a 150in buck on my farms in TN.

Love this time of the year! Another shooter (for down here) hit a scrape on my other trail camera 1000yds away at 630 this am.

Haven't seen a deer yet this morn, but I'm splitting 2 thick bedding areas and visibility onto them is only 10 yds. Funny thing is, the scrape where the buck I'm after hasn't gotten a single pic of a doe on it. Only bucks visiting it. Need some help from BSK figuring out why that is.

I think he will do better than 120". Sounds like a solid strategy you have. I'm looking forward to the kill pictures!

That's a nice deer, think you may be conservative in your guesstimate. Good luck.
I hung a camera on the closest food plot to the scrape yesterday eve on the way out... checked it on the way in this afternoon. Here is a better pic to score. I think he will just break 120... but again, that is a HUGE buck for down here.

Well, game over.

The buck I was after shifted off, so I focused on a nice 9pt that was on the other side of this 1000 ac. Set up thus morn before work, and this buck came out making a scrape 80y away. Was pretty dark, I could tell it was a pretty decent buck, possibly the 9pt. No time to wait for better light... now or never... well, I decided it was NOW.

Wasn't the one I wanted, but still a good buck for down here. Got him skinned, quartered , and in the cooler... and still made it to office at 745a to start work!

Congrats!! Love when it works out and you can still make the bell for work! His nose looks weird to me, like it was broken or something. It might just be the camera angle also.
