TWRA Seeking Input on Waterfowl Hunting on a Portion of Fort Patrick Henry Reservoir
The Tennessee Wildlife Resources Agency (TWRA) has set a public meeting to solicit input on requests to close waterfowl hunting on a portion of Fort Patrick Henry Reservoir.
This meeting will be held on Tuesday, September 13, 2011, from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. at Warriors Path State Park in the Duck Island Recreational Building Auditorium.
"TWRA has received requests from local landowners to consider closing the river to hunting between the Hwy. 75 Bridge and the Louis Milhorn Bridge (Beulah Church Road) downstream," said John Gregory, TWRA Region IV Manager. "TWRA is having this public meeting to solicit input on the requested closure and will welcome any recommendations on how to continue current multi-use recreation, at some level, for this section of Fort Patrick Henry Reservoir."
