Didn't want to tag on tntrappers thread so I started my own. I got this Winchester ranger (youth model 70) off @Hduke86 for my daughter for Christmas. She is a girly girl but killed 2 deer this year and likes to go with me so I decided it was time for her to have her own deer rifle. I painted the stock and did her name on it thinking she would like it more than way and also had the barreled action cerakoted.
As I was showing my friend the stock, like an idiot, I dropped it and left a big ding and some scratches in it. I honestly didn't think she would notice, but she did. Once she saw it and said something I told her it was a project we could do together and we could paint anything on it she wanted. Her favorite animal is a giraffe so she had to have one. I didn't know how this would turn out but she is ecstatic with it and that's all that matters. I never thought I would paint a gun pink and definitely not a flowery giraffe but if it gets her out there I will do 10 guns that way We also took the time to float the barrel and devcon bed the action. The bedding turned out well but I did run a little short on material so there were a few pockets I don't care for. She helped me load a ladder up for it the other day so now we are ready to do load development as soon as this snow clears.
