Coyotes, Im confused on reg's after reading guide

I wanted to take a rifle with me to shoot any coyotes tomorrow while calling for a youth on his first turkey hunt. The guide says "Open Year Round", yet I remember seeing that is was CLOSED during the youth deer hunt weekend. Clarification anyone?

Unfortunately, it is not illegal to coyote hunt with rifles while the spring turkey hunts are going on. IMO, it produces a potentially dangerous situation since there have been instances of decoys being shot with rifles. But, again, it is not illegal.

However, having that rifle while turkey hunting will put you in possession of a weapon illegal for turkey hunting. That is a violation.

You can't do both at the same time.

In addition, the Youth turkey hunt requires a nonhunting adult. Coyote hunting would violate that provision as well.
