I have set an ebay search for merino base layers in my size that sends an email when something is added. I've been slowly adding over the past three months at bargain prices. One of the best deals was a Kuhle merino zip jacket that sells new for $150 for $40. It looked like it had never been worn.

Make sure it says 100% merino as they put the merino wool blends in that same catagory.

100% merino sweaters are pretty frequent at less than $20 prices.
