I've had good luck with them. Overcooked a chuck roast in the oven the other night based on recipe instructions and it was actually better, reheated the following day

^^^^actually my wife likes a ruined steak. so she asked which one was hers and had a steel mallet in her hand. she commences to beating the living yugo out of that steak down to about 1/2" inch or so. then she says cook it until its burnt.

you know after i was done, that steak was still juicy and tender. i couldnt believe it.

Occasionally our local grocery store meat dept will have chuck eye....never knew anything about them until last summer when I saw them and noticed the nice marbling...and the great price... grabbed a pack and grilled them.... fantastic. Now when we see them we'll grab a pack and freeze them.... actually thawing a couple for this weekend now.

Chuck roast much similar to the pork butt(shoulder) cut on a pig. Great fat to lean ratio for about anything. Usually way less cost, but still a very versatile cut beef or pig. Both aint just for slow cooker or the low and slow smoker.
I remember roasts being $3.99/lb at Kroger not that long ago, now it's normally 9.99/lb. I buy it when it goes on sale for $7.99

Nope, the ones my wife has bought over the years seems like more grizzle than meat. Wife and son loved them, but I told her don't waste the money and only get one if you want them.
