Going down to Georgia next month to hunt the NF with a friend. We'll be west of 75 so it's either sex, and we'll be happy with any deer. If he's able to connect on one, it'll be his first ever deer.
Wanted to know if anyone has done the same, and what advice they might have.
A couple pointed questions for people that may know:
- acorns? How's the crop this year near chattooga/walker counties?
- Is it as dry there as it is here? Obviously a lot can change in 3 weeks, but wondering how viable hunting water sources is.
- is there any way to discern what the ground might look like from OnX/Earth aerials? Aka, where is thick with underbrush and where you can feasibly walk through.
