Started researching places in Ky & Oh for diy bowhunts. Think I have landed on Hoosier National Forest in In. Probably late Oct to mid Nov timeline. Diy bow hunt where we scout for 1-2 days then hunt 3-5. May be a solo trip. Any east Tn folks up for a roadtrip. Split gas n lodging? If anyone has hunted there I would love suggestions.

It's good stuff. Around here it's a cult following. So when you find it you stock up because it may be months before finding more!

I turkey hunted several times back in the 90's between Shoals and French Lick. I really wouldn't be of much help with the deer hunting, but there will be plenty of room to roam and I would suggest that there are a lot of good deer there too. Good luck!

I have actually been doing the same research. I was looking at Ohio but came across Hoosier and I think it might be a better option for me too. I haven't made up my mind yet though as I may have access to a small track of private in western Ohio through a work friend.
