I been shooting 62-68 gr bullets in the UBR score matches but I thought I would try the 80 gr Berger flatbase bullets in my 13.5 twist bbl and see if they would shoot,,they recommend a 12 twist but some oldtimers say the 80 FB will shoot in a 14 and that my 13.5 should really shoot them well,,so I tried it,,and like always the old timers are usually right,,

29,9 VVN 135 and the Fed 205 GMM gets them up just over 3100 fps and are really shooting small,,gonna shoot a couple score targets later today and see if they hold together,,

I would never have thought they would stabilize.

Fine shooting. Really Fine.

me neither but I was told that the old Rem 80 gr Power Loct Hollow Points would shoot in a 14 twist from a 6x47 on the 222 Magnum case and shoot well he said with 748 ,,I am sure if they were boattails they would go sideways but the 80 FB isnt much longer at all than the 68 gr BT`s I been shooting,,
