22lr scope questions

My boy has a savage 22LR. it had a cheap scope on it when we got it. Looking to upgrade it. Won't be used for anything other than plinking. Looking to start under $200. And b suggestions ?

I have this scope on my CZ and am really happy with it. Plus the burris forever warranty is good to.

Might be a little over your price range but the Leupold VX Freedom Rimfire is a very nice scope. I have both the 3x9 and 2x7

Is there something wrong with the accuracy of the scope thats on it?

I have Leupolds, Nikons and Vortex on my centerfires. I have what was a $40 RedHead from Bass Pro on my 597 .22 and that $150 combination is a tack driver.

Yeah. It's cheap. No name. Blurry and can't focus. I ordered a vortex for it already.
