Hard gobbling bird.

Called in this bird this morning in Meigs county. He gobbled real good on the limb and came in fast gobbling the whole way. Had another gobbler with him who never made a peep. Number 2 for the season.

Especially for mature birds who have been with hens majority of the season. My friends and I typically kill our longest spurs in May.

This is the first bird since opening weekend that acted like you want them to that I have encountered. I had a similar late season last year. Called in two birds over the last three days on fire.

The last two weeks have always been my best as far as birds acting the way you want them to.

Adrenaline rushing action at its best. I know of at least three, possibly, four birds that I hope to finish out the season playing with for friends and family. Have to get the fix in for the long months ahead dreaming of next season.
