It is bulky compared to a saddle, BUT that is like saying shorts are confining compared to underwear.

They are pretty nice. Also really useful for a ground seat that you wear into the woods. My only complaint is that I like to stand up moreso than sit in a tree. Kind of defeats the purpose. Great for crossbow hunters.

Can't beat em. Tried several and always had pinch or some other discomfort. Went and saw Chad and he tied me into his demo pole at his shop. 20 secs later I told him to ring me up.
I bought mine last year based off research. The tetherd hype almost got me but i kept seeing "cruzr" and comfort being mentioned together in alot of saddle hunter posts!! Ive ran into chad several times over the last year or so. Hes a good dude. Dane is also in cookeville , he makes the dryad drey and the ones that hunt it swear by it!!

I had a Summit climber for the last 15 years and thats all I've ever hunted out of until this summer and like @TITANSFAN2104 I almost bought into the Tethrd hype but I kept researching and talked to a few guys on here and ended up buying the Cruzr and I will agree very very comfy and i dont even have the recliner back support strap for it.
I did go with the Predator XL platform, wear some cheap knee pads, and either stand/lean probably 60% of the time and sit with knees into the tree the rest of the time. I am currently one sticking with a tethrd skelator stick and 35ft of canyon c-iv rope. It makes my load very minimal with only 1 stick instead of 4. I lightened my pack by 6 lbs by doing that. Im weighing around 10 pounds total and can be 20-25ft up in a tree in about 8-10 mins from start to finish and be down the tree in about 1 min. I love being light, more mobile and very comfortable in the tree at the same time! I wish i wouldve switched 2-3 years ago honestly. Thank you for the recommendation @UCStandSitter!

Me? You must've been truly desperate to take my advice. 😂

I did buy the Tethrd marketing hype. Had a Phantom and a Mantis. Sent em both back. Nobody does it like Chad and those folks at Cruzr. They have started sponsoring a couple YouTube folks so hopefully that allows them to continue to grow. I still have a Tethrd platform. I like the Cruzr one better but I'd done so many mods on the Tethrd it was the worth swapping at this point. I'll hold out until someone truly changes the game in that space.

I've been using a summit broadhead backpacker for years and love it! Considering a saddle but I can't find anywhere to say how long the saddles last? Are the saddles like a tree harness that needs to be replaced every 5 years (for safety according to mfg). If you have to replace the saddle every 5 years, they are a bit pricey for me.
What is your understanding as far as having to replace the saddle? What is the mfg recommendation?
Thanks
