wondering? bout having new rifle cut

Thinking of buying a new remmy 700 in 7mag n having it cut to 7mmstw wondering what the drawbacks of that would b?
Seeing as how they don't make one anymore :-(
All we've got left is clear cuts

I know it is common over on 24HR to do this but I am dead against it. The factory barrels are cut with a solid pilot reamer and are rarely centered. The STW sometimes will not clean up all the 7Mag chamber which leaves a ring or ridge in the STW chamber.

i believe that would be the better decision and it should be plenty enough

You could go with something different like a 7mm Mashburn. My smith just got back from Wyoming, and took a nice elk with his.

According how u wanna look at it the 7 stw is more efficient cartridge than the 7 rum burning less powder n very close to the same velocities n speeds
