Crimson clover/oats/wheat

I put a 2nd planting in one year around Oct 10th of this mix and had better results than my early Sept plantings. I got lucky to dodge a early frost, and received the right amount of rain. Rain is crucial for fall plantings.

I planted 150 lbs of wheat today . I tried some different then I ever done before . A month ago a sprayed a area i was going to plant due to the drought . I had held off . Since their calling for 80% tonite and I am late on time. I sowed the wheat right in with the dead grass/ weeds that are about 5 inches high . If this works I may plant more of my larger wheat fields like this next year .

I actually planted 23 acres of VNS wheat today myself, but this is for late winter cattle grazing and a early spring hay cutting. A added bonus would be for the deer to utilize it!
