What rifle combo under 1k do you recommmend for deer hunting?

Just get you a savage axis xp2 w scope at walmart for less than 500 bucks...sight it in and go hunting....don't need 1000 dollar guns or scope to be a good hunter

I recently got a cascade (not the XT version) in 6.5PRC and for the money I am very impressed. Trigger is good, shoot most factory ammo very well and has a lot of great features on it. Plan to add a suppressor by next season to it as well.

what factory loads are the best for cascades?

First, I love the Cascade! Got my son one. And, you got it in my favorite caliber. As far as ammo, I would honestly recommend trying Norma. I tried it and have been extremely impressed. It's priced right and seems to be readily available every time I need some. Performance on game and accuracy have been top notch.

I would argue that the best gun for deer is a muzzleloader because it gets you the most season time with a firearm. Modern muzzleloaders are made to pretty stringent tolerances, and shoot very accurately now.

I have a Savage Axis .243 and .308. Both with upgraded scopes. And they aren't anywhere close to $1000. And both are absolute tack drivers and deer killing machines
