This should help.

For the most part, saddle are mostly associated with hilly land. If you happen to hunt that kind of land, it should help you out a lot. Here in west tn where I am at, not so much.

In ridge and hollow terrain. Low spots between ridges where deer can travel from one ridge to the next without going down into a hollow, or can travel from one hollow to another without having to go over the peak of the ridge.

Saddle is a low area usually between tops and is an easier access for deer . Looks kinda like a saddle you out on a horse . I like hunting them .

When hunting Public Land I look for saddles or even better 2 saddles that run together they often act like funnels..

Everyone is looking for the same saddle on public land. Sometimes you look for where the deer will go when other public land hunters pile in to the saddle
