Well this season was a bust.

It was still enjoyable to be out there though. Going to have to get a food source in here and I WILL have an elevated enclosed blind built by next season.

I had food for days but very little for mature oaks and we struggled. Glad to see it end.

I have a few mature oaks. Most are on neighboring properties. We had a lot of acorns.

Happens sometimes. We had a pretty good acorn crop, but I didn't get any food plots in last year. Hopefully I will get some beans planted over the summer and clover planted in early fall. Still saw plenty of deer, and my wife and I each took pretty nice bucks. Had opportunities on several others. Tied my record of six coyotes in a season, but we still have the rest of this month and I am still hearing them often. Still hoping to get my son his first deer this season too.
