Getting ready to get serious about one of these. Either the S-TAC 3-16x42 duplex or the Veracity 3-15x50 FFP. Mostly just for recreation but i may leave it on for hunting also. Its going on a Mountaineer 45 1-20 twist with a Murphy base and TPS XTR rings so im pretty much locked into the mounts im going to use.
Anyone owned both and how would you compare the turrets, glass quality and durability? The loads i shoot wont be higher than a 300gr at about 2100fps but probably a little slower. That would be the max load. FFP is not a deal breaker. Its just the only way Burris offers that reticle in the Veracity 3-15 and im not fond of the other reticle that is offered.
