Thank you all. It was a goal of mine to have both kids take a deer this weekend. It was challenging as the stand location made to where they was right on us before we could see. Between 2 pine thickets around a grown up field about 30 yards wide. I set a double ladder stand up early summer. Neither kid had hunted out of a treestand (shooting houses for the little girl and ground and shooting house for the boy). So it was a first for both. I'm very pleased with how still and patient they was. Both was shot within 30 yards of us. To see the smiles and hear
The giggles, telling jokes, playing eye spy, and even a taking a nap, they done great.

They said last night we need to take mommy so she can kill her first deer. I just laughed. Because she's a city girl at heart that puts up with a country boy raising kids just like him.
