For you guys that maybe interested I was at the TSC on 11W west in Kingsport (by the walmart) . They had a OK JOE highland smoker/grill on clearance for 249.00 Looks to be a pretty well built heavy steel cook chamber with firebox and chimney. Would easily hold 4-5 boston butts or 6 racks of ribs (maybe more with rib rack)...Im tempted. And for you guys that may have one of these OK JOEs what do you think of them?

Gave 389 for mine at Lowes about 3 yrs. ago. Its the largest one they made at the time. Have smoked and grilled might near everything and I am well pleased with it and the way it is set up with burn chamber on the side. Have been using pecan wood lately with great success. For direct grilling or for more heat I use a large alum. pan and set it inside. If you are looking for a great smoker you can't go wrong with Joe. Make sure you clean it good , let it dry and season it with veggie oil. Good luck and great grilling.........LL

I have the Oklahoma Joe's longhorn which is bigger than the highland model.
I would get the bigger one depending on your style of cooking.
