Was just about to say the same thing! They are extinct around here..I'll tell you exactly what happened to them.. those stupid otters some idget decided to stock in Tennessee years ago ate them all
 
Trappers are hardcore. I just never got into it

The bobcat hides are beautiful...it would be fun just to get one big one! I would drape its hide over my cold feet while laying on couch.

Beavers are nice too.
 
Catch and release today. Was not a happy camper.

Prettt proud of this one. Put traps out on this farm 2 weeks ago and got a bobcat last week. The guy that hunts it has been getting yote pics almost every night and just not paying attention to my stuff. I moved some around yesterday and only moved this one about 15' but right in the line of travel for them. This open farm ground has taught me a lot this year on this farm.

I have moved them 5 ft and it made all the difference in the world.

Yes they are beautiful. I've got a good population. Last year feeder in yard one photo had four greys. Hunting rabbits and mice around feeder. This year one photo had three back by my creek bottoms in my buzzard roost food plot/chestnut orchard. Lots of rabbits around there.

If you notice just to the right of the coyote you can see where the corn is mashed down pretty good. The landowner drives right there almost daily just making his rounds. He's made a pretty visible road through the corn stalks there and I thought it would be good visibility for a coyote to see the bait hole. The guy who turkey hunts it that invited me to trap there has a camera not far from this location and has seen them running that area pretty often. I had actually set 8 traps out 2 weeks ago and wasn't getting any attention to them. I set them a little off how I was thinking the coyotes would run but didn't want to put them too close to where the owner would be driving. Was just hoping the bait and lure would lure them to the traps. Did catch one bobcat on a set I made that I knew was probably just a cat set. Last weekend the landowner told us to set it up however we wanted so I went back and made adjustments and have gotten 2 since Sunday. Trapping season goes out for us Saturday so I'm hoping for at least one more. This farm has taught me a lot about open farm land and has made me to learn new sets and not just go with what I am used to. I'm not one who likes to sit and wait. Especially when I see pics of them going right by a trap and not paying any attention to it.
