Mine have been undisturbed since being set on Tuesday.

I think maybe there's some coon hunters in the area. Even the dry cat food that I sprinkled around the traps is still there.

I'm gonna give 'em one more night- I added a few drops of coon lure yesterday.

Yep. Killed and trapped a boat load of them here over the years. Can get rid of them for a while but they always come back.
For sure. We have a spring fed pond on one end that eventually dumps into a major creek. We just try to keep them in check and water levels where we can get around property without hip waders.
 
Wow, haven't seen a muskrat in years and years.
They used to be plentiful in middle Tennesee.
I have heard several theories on what happened to the population, I suspect is is a combination of things.
Used to love trapping them when I was in school, it paid for my school clothes.
