The 2016 TN Division of Forestry seedling catalog is now out and bare root seedlings can be ordered. They have oaks, pines and a variety of wildlife friendly trees/shrubs such as Persimmon, hybrid Chestnut, etc. They are raised in Tennessee, inexpensive, and delivered no-charge to your county. From my experience, avoid the March delivery because of the potential warm weather during planting. Flag or mark your seedlings so you can find them the next year. The seedling flyer can be seen at: http://www.tn.gov/assets/entities/agric ... atalog.pdf There is also a website at: planttntrees.org I have bought loblolly, shortleaf pine, Persimmon, Crabapple and Beautyberry and been satisfied. Wildlife seedlings sell out first but pines have always been available till March.
