Since I'm tagged out on bucks, I hit the woods this morning with the Glock 40 10mm and took a eating size doe. I've hunted with a handgun for over 30 years but this is my first with the Glock 10mm. 40 yard shot and she never took a step. This afternoon I sat in the blind with my 16 year old daughter overlooking a large green creek bottom. We had several deer enter the field a little before dark including a couple of small bucks. She was waiting on a bigger deer but just before dark she decided to try and kill a couple of does. First one was a little over 100 yards. Second one I ranged at 230. Both hit the ground. As we were getting our stuff together to get out of the blind this 9 pt came into the field and she put him on the ground. She was shooting a Rem model seven HS precision in 7mm-08. I just got done quartering them out and on ice. Been a good day but I'm now tired of skinning deer. For today anyway.
