It was a good game. I don't like to complain about calls but they called a check swing on a wake batter that clearly was a strikeout. Then he hit a 1 run homer. 🤦🏻‍♂️
Oh well. hopefully Bama can win game 2. RTR!

Gonna be a while in TN game. 30 minutes will be just enough time to allow the next storm cell to roll in.

Serious question, when did lightning delays become a "thing"?

Hopefully TN can come up with a game plan against this pitcher.

Did they review it?
Yes. It looked obvious to me but I have crimson glasses. 🤓
My wifi started messing up but they were talking like coach might have gotten tossed. He was talking to the ump when my wifi cut out.
The ump wasn't real consistent on balls and strikes either. I thought he missed some both ways.

Seems like it always happens that way and it's usually against my team. 😅 Bottom line is you can't give great hitters 4 strikes. They'll make the pitcher pay a lot of the time.

I really don't want to be over dramatic but the Hattiesburg deal is a joke. The criteria for hosting a super has basically nothing to do with resume, and everything to do with revenue. Fair enough I'm very pro capitalist, but that stadium looked like a glorified high school set up.
Granted, Lindsey Nelson is far from the jewel of SEC baseball stadiums but we have fu**ing delivered every time we've hosted with sell outs & block parties to boot.
Now, we're going to be fitting in a super between thunder storms all the while the weather is perfect in Knoxville, as it was yesterday when the series SHOULD have started.
eating chocolate 'em, we gotta figure it out. I think our stable or arms is better than theirs on the whole.

Supposedly from multiple sources, one of the NCAA committee members that made the decision to go to Hattiesburg has a son playing for Southern Miss. Nothing like home cooking!

110%.
Heard that too.
It's a joke. But, we ought to just show up & end it. We'll see how it goes when we start play tonight… Or tomorrow. Or, maybe Monday… if the weather allows…Surely that will help attendance & revenue…

Just watched Oral Robert's rally in the bottom of the 9th to force game 3 with Oregon.

Caught the top of the 9th in the Texas / Stanford game and the Texas kid was throwing gas and they won game 1.

Looks like LSU is beating the brakes off Kentucky 14-0 in the 7th after a 5-hour + delay start. Was told it didn't rain but LSU coach pushed to delay it and the ncaa went along with it. 5 hours later still no rain. I thought it was pushed til tomorrow but they're playing.

Didn't see any of the Vols game but down 4-0 in the 4th when suspended until tomorrow. Hopefully they get their heads out of their butts and win 2 tomorrow.

I just watched the replay of the 9th.

Poetic justice after giving up an 8 run lead to lose in game 1.

The pitcher for S. Miss was throwing a gem. He has a wicked changeup and made several of our guys look foolish.

Be interesting if he's still pitching when play resumes.

They saved their best pitcher for game 2, so we really need to pull out this first one.

BTW, it's gonna rain in Knoxville today.

Tennessee got it back to within 1 but USM scores 1 in the top of the 6th. This plate umpire is terrible. Consistent, but terrible.
5-3

There have was pushed back several timers with blue skies overhead. The game started at 10:00pm, I believe. and finished at 1:00am. Was suppose to start at 3:00

Chase Burns comes on in relief after Dollander walks the lead-off hitter in the bottom of the 9th. Dollander throws 110+ pitches. Burns throwing 97-100 mph and gets the ground ball for the game ending double play.
Vols win 8-4.
Game 3 tomorrow.

Nice bounce back.

We'll be home team tomorrow.

Really need to stop getting behind early.
