It can handle acidic soils. Even better for me... wet soils...How interesting. I'll have to look into that.
Any idea if it can handle acidic soils?
These pics were from my first year planting it on my my new TN property a few years ago. PH was 6.0 that fall, I hit it with 12T ag lime (5ac plot), and pics were on April 6th the following spring. This was on ground that was fallow for 20 years and I reclaimed with a forestry mulcher.
I LOVE Balansa clover.... except I've learned you HAVE to cut and wrap it for haylage before the blooms mature mid May... otherwise it reseeds itself and will outcompete your summer plantings.
I suspect you could.add it to your fall plots.and just bushhog it late may adding buckwheat and it will reseed with no additional cost.
