(Before y'all start bashing me, this is not MY post ; I didn't write it. It is an article originally written by Angler & Hunter)

We're all guilty of it. We see a hunter with mismatched camo with an old single-shot 12-gauge. And he's sporting his deer he just harvested on the back of his old truck. It's a doe or more than likely a smaller buck. But he's happy, and grinning from ear-to-ear like he just killed the new world record! So you laugh and joke with your buddies as he goes by. While leaning against your brand new truck, in your name brand matching camo.

But have you ever stopped to think that maybe the deer on the back of his truck means a lot more to him than just big antlers.... maybe he's a third shift blue collar worker at the local saw mill, just trying to pay his bills and keep gas in his old truck. Maybe he don't have the fancy game cameras and big food plots that you have. Or the big fancy hunting blinds, that cost more than his old truck. Maybe he's happy because he finally didn't have to work this weekend. So he decided to go hunting on the little piece of land that he's hunted since he was a boy, with the gun that his dad gave him when he turned 12 years old. More than likely he's not hunting to kill the next World Record. He could care less about the antlers.

But what he does care about is putting food on the table for his family at home, and knowing that they're going to eat good for now. And that my friends will put a smile on any true sportsman's face.

So good luck to all the hunters out there with the rest of your season. Just remember this, support each other and be happy for each other, no matter how big their harvest is, because to some folks it means a lot more then the size of the antlers.

Don't always judge a book by its cover either. I get teased at work because I always drive older vehicles. I refuse to have a car note. I'm 6'4 and drive a 2000 single cab fors ranger. And we just paid cash for a low mileage 06 buick lucerne, got a great deal on it. Im all about practicality. I choose to put my money to use paying my house note and my land note. Because when these are paid off they will be worth far more than the new vehicles that my co workers are buying right now.

I was raised by a father who worked 2 or more jobs so mom could stay home and raise us. We lived in single wide trailers for most of my childhood. I didn't make fun of anyone growing up. I was on the receiving end of the ridicule until I grew up bigger than the bullies. Then it magically stopped.

Nowadays I make fun of liberals.

Yeah this is the 2nd post I've seen in the last couple days with kind of assuming the worst of people on this site. And again I haven't seen it nor will entertain being apart of it. As is the same with a lot of hunters. Some of yal are focusing on a few negative people probably on Facebook not the majority. So no we aren't all guilty of it.

Agreed. I've not seen it here and can't imagine it would be tolerated. If it became an issue I wouldn't be here. Birds of a feather flock together. These olds birds in here are my kind of birds.

I think most tndeer guys are pretty supportive of other hunters kills. Maybe not 10 years ago, i was guilty as well, but now they seem sincere. We get 2 buck tags- i
Will only use one about every 5 yrs- we can kill what we want. I actually like to see people tag out because the woods gets quieter as the season goes along. Great buck btw- did you kill that one?

I was getting dressed one day to either turkey hunt or deer hunt and my camo didn't match. My wife said "you don't match" and my reply was the animals don't care. I do have some cold weather gear that matches but otherwise it doesn't matter. I remember hunting in wool pants and a plaid shirt. Just get out there and enjoy the great outdoors.
