Told by a couple retailers today to get my seed potatoes now. They said orders were short and suppliers are telling them to expect shortages.

Probably a good idea to get them soon. They were available at my local feed store last month for 50 cents a pound, which is cheaper than they sell at the grocery. I planted some and ate the extras.

I have been checking with the local Co-op for over a month and still nothing. I stopped in 30 minutes ago and was told if they get them in they wouldn't have Kennebec, just red and yukons. May try to find some organic store potatoes or just not worry about planting any this year.

My Tractor Supply has 4 pound bags for $5.99, Yukon Gold and another variety or two.
