When does everyone start their seed tomatoes indoors?

I started mine way to late last year, but on the plus side, I had fresh green and ripe tomatoes right up until the 1st frost.

I usually shoot for 5 to 6 weeks before planting and have learned the hard way to wait till early May to put them in the ground.

lol my wife has yet to learn that lesson.

My problem with starting seeds indoors is the stems are always weak and lay down, after April I can just toss seeds in a pan and they grow great, for late tomato planting
