I rarely deer hunt this time of year due to waterfowl coming in to season. Can anyone share any log notes as to when second rut comes in to play in northern middle TN? I still have buck tags and want to maximize my deer for duck hunt trade.

I haven't been in the woods in 2 weeks. But I'm going to be there in the morning. It's going to be 20° but I can always go to truck if I get cold. Second rut should be firing back up. My second biggest scoring buck was killed on Dec 11, following a doe. That was in Montgomery county in 2013.
Went hunting yesterday afternoon and seen a couple of doe,s.Went again this morning didn't see nothing but on the way out i found 2 scrapes with licking branch broke on both of them they was not there yesterday.So we might be fixing to get lucky

Went this morning and it was almost as good as regular rut. Saw three small bucks chasing does and the biggest 7 I have ever seen trailing right up a does butt. Humphreys.
