salt lick and trophey rock

Hey fellas i have a quick question is it illegal to leave out a salt lick or trophey rock while hunting around it .....

Yes it is legal...A salt or mineral lick is legal to use if it is at least 51% salt and has no grain products

yeah,its legal,but they get very little usage this time of year,hope thats not your hunting strategy

I put my camera over a salt lick last week and had a ton of doe in it but not a single buck. The week before I had it about 30 yards off over a scrape and was seeing bucks; they are in the area on a regular basis. So, do more doe use it this time of the year and bucks lay off?

Well,they do use it some,could have been justa couple does.many times,either way,would put it very close to the bottom for hunting strategies,this time of year.

I started my mineral lick on July 4, and my deer have been wearing it out from then til now. I have now killed one doe with bow, 6 pt with bow, and today a nice 7 with smokepole all because the does were still coming to the lick. I have sat all this week while on vacation and watched does eat the dirt. No bucks eating it, but definitely does.
