What do you put in your venison rubs?
I like a spicy smoked venison rub so I put in:
Chili Powder
Red Pepper
Paprika
Brown Sugar
Black Pepper
Lowery's Seasoning Salt
Garlic Powder
Cumin
I dont have a set amount of each, I usually eye ball it.
When I smoke it, I try to stay around 200 degree's and smoke for several hours... once the meat has a good bark on it, i usually rap it in tinfoil until the internal temp gets close to 150.
