What is your favorite Butt rub? I don't like heat so lets hear some....

I have use quite a bit of the Webber brand rubs that you can buy at walmart. There are several, but their basic bbq dry rub has a good classic bbq flavor with no heat. Everyone I've cooked for seems to like it.

RECIPE COURTESY OF ALTON BROWN

Dry Rub:
8 tablespoons light brown sugar, tightly packed
3 tablespoons kosher salt
1 tablespoon chili powder
1/2 teaspoon ground black pepper
1/2 teaspoon cayenne pepper
1/2 teaspoon jalapeno seasoning
1/2 teaspoon Old Bay Seasoning
1/2 teaspoon rubbed thyme
1/2 teaspoon onion powder

I went with pit boss pulled pork rub. Got it in the smoker now.

Well I just pulled it and it was amazing!! But I will try a few on here as suggested next time.

Yes pretty good bark (it surprised me), not as heavy because of lack of sugar(s). But still very tastey
