great reviews are all i've seen for the price point they fall in.

great mag range in the 4-12 too.

The Revolution line is probably the best value in entry level scopes right now, and the glass doesn't look entry level. Side by side I think they are sharper than the vx-I, and close to the vx-II. The warranty is through Leupold, so you can't go wrong there.

It does agitate me that they don't send a cover out with the scopes, the cost couldn't be that much more and I would pay an extra $10 for a Redfield Neoprene cover.

I own 5 of the Rifleman's in the 3x9x40 LRD. I just love the clarity of the Leupold, and they are good scopes for the money. I haven't seen any of the the new Redfields in person. I wish they still made the Wide Angle scopes.

I got a new 3x9 40 Redfield for Christmas and love the clarity and price point. Going to sight it in tomorrow on my new t/c muzzleloader. Can't wait!
