I'll remember that. If I can't find something full-sized (50-caliber) that I'm pleased with, I'll give them a try.

I've got a card of 405 lead FP Powerbelts I haven't tried yet, plus ordered a card of 338 Platinums from Powerbelt as well.

Powerbelts are on the verge of being outlawed at my place . Over the years we have probably had more deer lost with them than with archery

Couldn't agree more with the 295 and lighter. None were passing through even on does broadside at 20 yards. Going to the 348s and 405s solved that. But Powerbelt isn't making those heavier weights anymore.

Do they still sell those?

I am not sure. Looking online shows backordered everywhere. The ones I use are .458 300 grain made for 45-70. But they work great in a 50 caliber muzzleloader.

Thanks. I may have to try their Lyman Minnie Balls. Recurve#60 also turned me on to Harvester which makes a full 50-caliber bullet with plastic skirt like the Powerbelt. may try those as well.

Thor is a great bullet. Directly comparable to Barnes in terms of terminal performance and very accurate. Can't go wrong with them
