Rainy day hunt on public land paid off.

Was strongly questioning my own sanity while freezing my tail off all day in the rain. But man this deer sure did look pretty slipping through the timber moving straight towards me. He was the first deer I saw at 2:45 that afternoon.

Nice buck. How do you hunt public? Stand, ground blind…hunting private land sitting over a harvested corn field but want to get out of the stand. First season hunting out here. Used to hunting mountains and high timber ridges so trying to figure out these flat lands out here.
