I would never even begin to pretend that I know a fraction of what Chris does, but in my humble opinion, no there is no better than Overstreet.

SUPER nice man too I might add.

hey that 4th one from the left on top in the top pic is a dang nice'un

in the overall collection that i have, 3 or 4 were given to me and were put in with the ones that were actually picked up, i do not really remember the 3 or 4 that might not be native to this area, the one that u pointed out might be one of the "gifts" since it stands out from the others.

You have really covered a lot of ground Ray to come up with that many points. I wish that I still had access to all of the spots that I used to search in.

people that have never hunted for "rocks" have no clue to the time involved, all of the good areas around here are now in no-til, i have one good spot that i know is untapped, might get on it when the water goes down, would love to find a "pipe" of some type some day or a bowl,

a day of looking for maybe 1 or 2 good "rocks" is time consuming, makes it hard to put a value on it with the time thing

"Well Done" I'm Impressed
I didn't know there were so many different types, and names.
Are the Names derived from the specific origin or what?

chaney, I'm sick right now and not staying up much, as soon as I get to feeling better, I'll do those pics.

skynimrod, some of them are named by what form they appear as, some by it's discoverer, area most common found, material, tribe, place in time, etc... there are literally thousands of types that have different criteria they must fit to be typed. I look at form, flaking and if possible, the area from which it came.
