We have a large lease with 18 food plots that we have planted early fall every year with typical deer plot seed mixtures. Plots have done great when the weather cooperated and we just poured 17K # of lime on them last weekend (per soil test results). Just to do something different we are contemplating putting in some summer beans. Issue is our three largest plots are in the 2 acre range. They are in close proximity to one another, with in 800 yards as a crow flies. Deer density is Med-high so I just don't know if the fields are large enough to withstand the pressure. By themselves they would get crushed but together can they make it?
