Out of state juveniles?

I have 2 younger brothers 10 & 11. Both are getting into hunting and want to come hunting with me. Their mother knows nothing about hunting or anything outdoorsy. Neither have taken their hunter safety course and they live in Kentucky. In order for them to legally come hunting with me what would they need?

Both will have to be hunter safety certified. The state course in KY will be fine. They could use an Apprentice License as a Hunter Safety exemption (only) for one year. that requires someone that is HS certified to be where they can take immediate control of their hunting weapon at all times.

They will not need a hunting license until age 13. If they want to participate in any of the Special Season Antlerless hunts, or hunt on a WMA, they will need a Type 94 Permit.
