I have a 1895 cowboy and a browning bl22 grade 2. I thought they were handsome but, they don't hold a candle to that one! Great looking piece!

357 Mag is just fine for deer hunting in the woods. Out to 50-60 yards or so, it'll put 'em down with ease.

That's what I started on. Not too loud, little recoil. I never had one take more than a couple of steps, though they weren't huge deer either. Usually knocked them over and they couldn't get back up.

Nice, nice gun. Love the look and feel of a lever action. Started deer hunting with an old Marlin .35. Wish I still had it.
