Mud motor

Looking to buy a boat with mud motor. Fella is a little ways off so I got some videos of motor running. Anyone familiar with this type of motor can tell me if everything sounds ok?

I have one pretty much identical. From what I saw in the video it sounds fine. I was just curious as to why his oil filter is painted bottomland unlike his motor? Probably not a big deal but I would ask him

It's been modded. Not necessarily a bad thing, but something to ask more questions about.

Actually looking at it again I saw that it's a Black Death. They may have actually came that way.

I have a 37efi mud buddy. I do like the motor. It's on a 1754 prodigy and pushes the boat well even when loaded for hunting. No mods only changed stock exhaust to bps and run a 3 blade prop.
