Moultrie Cam Issue

I have several Moultrie Cams that are approximately 3 years old.
They have worked surprisingly good for their price point.

But this week, two different cams, I've had an issue never experienced before.

When I download the pics from the SD card to my laptop,
the pics only present a view of the center 1/3 of each pic.
Via editing software, I can see the entire pic, but there is no quick easy "view" of the entire pic.

This is a very new "issue" and it is limited to only the pics from the Moultrie cams.
Over the past week, I pulled several SD cards from a variety of Browning, Tactacam, Bushnell, and Moultrie trail cams.
ONLY the cards from the Moultries are having this pic display issue.

I can mix a Moultrie pic in with a file of Browning pics, all pics view perfectly, except for the pics from the Moultrie cams.

Previously, many years running, it has not made any difference from which cam I pulled an SD card, what files I mixed & matched in my photo files,
as they all would be fully viewable in exactly the same manner.

Is anyone else having this pic viewing issue?

And any idea how to resolve it?

I would try a new or different SD card.
SD cards are not the problem.
This just suddenly began happening with 4 different Moultrie cams,
different SD cards as well.

It also happens with saved images on computer that were taken with Moultrie cams.
When those older images were saved, they opened on computer just like any other jpeg image.

It's just really weird.
I suspect there was some type of automated "update" which caused this.
Just strange it has only effected jpeg images produced by those Moultrie cams.

No one else having this issue with their Moultrie cams?

I had been surprisingly satisfied with these until recently.
But unless this issue can be soon resolved, they're all going to be sold "for parts" on ebay, and/or just thrown into the trash.

Moultrie's "zen" desk has been of no help, suggesting it's an sd card issue (it's not).

Oh, when I first posted this, it was two Moultrie cams involved, but that became four soon as I pulled the SD cards from the others.

Here is THE fix:

Simply download the FREE program PhotoScape X from the Microsoft store.

Start using this photo program to open all your .jpeg images.
After you use it a bit, you will likely like it better than whatever you were using previously.

Seriously, I like this PhotoScape X better than what I had been using,
and am now using it to view the pics from all my cam cards.

Best of all, the pics from the Moultries now open & view exactly the same as all the others.

Pretty sure it has to do with an update to windows and nothing to do with Moultrie. Other software works fine.
You are correct.
It was a Windows update that caused this problem with the Moultrie pics.

I had previously thought all .JPEG images were the same.
But there is something a tad different with the Moultries' JPEG images.

As soon as I started using that different pic-viewing programs (which I actually "like" better than what was using), no more problems.

So for me, once resolved, am now going thru ALL pics from ALL my other cams, more efficiently due to having had this problem with the Moultrie pics.
