Thought this was pretty incredible. I wouldn't think snows would already be that far south.

Wow!! That's amazing!

When you think about their bodies' efficiency to be able to travel that far without stopping, all by gliding on wind currents and minimal flapping...kinda boggles the mind.

Really is fascinating. Always love hearing and seeing the snows migrating in the fall. I'd like to see a track of the ones that migrate at night. I'm 30 miles east of the Mississippi and we get a lot of migrators headed west over our house. Do they just fly until daylight? Or until they hear others on the ground?

They aren't talking about snows. A white front is a speck.

I actually heard some over old hickory lake today which is pretty rare

You got it.

I'm shocked to see a push of specks to come down over Middle Tennessee with this front. I've seen a lot of posts on Facebook about all the birds thats came down.

We have seen a ton of Specks the past 2 days in West TN. Also working on our duck blind yesterday and saw a few big flocks of Bluewing Teal. I guess they are migrating late.

Remarkable what these birds will do.
There is a great series on YouTube called the State of Waterfowl. Not to derail into the conversation of why ducks aren't doing what they used to & all that but, Paul Link is on the panel & they talk about this specific goose. I think Xpress Outdoors has put them out on their channel. It is well worth a watch if you're interested in waterfowl in the MS Flyway.
