Little yellow eggs in garden soil?

I was planting some seeds today and noticed some pale yellow balls a little larger than a BB as I was turning over dirt. I squeezed one and juice sprayed out, so I'm guessing it's some sort of egg. Is my garden going to be overrun with something I need to worry about? They were fairly numerous...I saw a couple in every scoop of dirt I turned over.

I'll follow up with a picture when I get the chance to upload to Photobucket.

Thanks for any info. I'm relatively new to gardening!

pretty sure its red worm eggs

You're right! Thanks! I looked up pictures of them, and they definitely match. That's a big relief - I was worried I would have problems with a grub infestation or something. Sounds like my soil will be in good shape!

I'm pretty certain those are time-release fertilizer pellets. Of course I could be mistaken but I'd bet on it.

No, they're definitely eggs. I don't put pelletized fertilizer in my garden and haven't put any in my yard in about a year.

They have a juicy inside, not a hard pill of minerals.
