Left handed crappie fishermen….

Only way I've crappie fished is vertical jigging with 11ft crappie poles. So one rod in left hand and one in right. Not sure if I caught more with the left hand or the right.

But this was on ledges on Ross Barnett with stained to muddy waters. Never casted to crappie

Very interesting and enlightening. Never thought about it till the wonders of youtube opened my eyes. I did see a crappie guy holding jig poles in both hands.

I've done it for sauger fishing by myself

I always hold the rod with right and reel with left hand. Casting a bait cast reel lefty was impossible for me when I picked it up and I hated switching hands to reel. My left hand is pretty dumb though

Spinning rod is cast with my right, reel with my left.
Baitcasting is cast with my right, reel left or right, depending on the reel in hand.

I hold 2 12 footers. One in each hand.... No casting involved... But, if I am using a spinning rod, I leave the handle on the left side, where it is supposed to be, and cast with my right hand.

I am a lefty. Thankfully my dad bought me and my left handed brother Garcia 301 reels. I have absolutely zero rod control with right hand

Right arm holds spinning rod
Left arm hold bait casting rod

This. For some reason, that's how I learned. Cast spinning rod right-handed and reel with left. Cast bait-caster left-handed and reel with right.
