Late season bird

[Ocoee Ridge Runner]

I ended my season with this bird on Sunday morning. I went to a spot I haven't hunted all season and as daylight was breaking I could hear what I thought was a distant gobble. I climbed up to the top of a ridge that begins a series of long steep ridges that run along a deep creek bottom. Once on top I heard him again several ridges in and started walking his way. I made it to the ridge he was on about 7 and didn't pull the trigger until 10.
