We've been looking forward to this weekend for a while. We went to unit L hunting for the weekend and stayed in a cabin. It was great to sit around the campfire each night with family and friends.

My son and daughter did pretty well. My daughter killed 3 does yesterday and a 6pt this morning. She's now tagged out on bucks this year and tickled to death. She missed a few shots yesterday but made a great 80 yd shot through the woods this morning on the buck that was pushing a doe. She broke in her new rifle that she got for her birthday. The 6.5 creed did some major damage on all 4.

My son has had a rough year in the buck department. He's let a few small bucks walk this year and missed a gimme shot on a solid 8pt last week. He got the 30-30 out of retirement this weekend and killed two does yesterday morning. He made two great off handed shots through the woods.

It was all in all a great weekend with 6 deer down. I'm blessed to have two kids that enjoy it so much. My daughter was ready to stay and shoot some more. :) I may have to take out a loan for ammo. If anyone needs some doe control, I'll give you their card. :)

Heck yea brother, that's a great time and looks like your little girl is going to give DA a run for his money on doe patrol
Lol........she definitely don't care to sling the lead at them. I was kinda glad that she killed the buck early this morning and no more does showed up. :)
