Warm and breezy

Anyone out this afternoon? I just got settled in on this warm and breezy afternoon. Actually sitting here thinking about moving as the wind isn't blowing as forecast. It's definitely swirling.

Killed one of my best bucks in Dec on a warm breezy afternoon.

About to take my son here shortly. The wind has settled down quite a bit here, hoping we can get a decent buck to show up for him.

Not me. I am waiting for the second rut in late December. Also hoping that the largest buck I had on camera shifts back on our farm this month.

Sitting in a ground blind for the afternoon. With 2 tagged, not very motivated to shoot, but just enjoying the afternoon and watching a section of the lease we haven't hunted much to see what happens

I hunt in east tn and all of the years hunting I can only think of one time ever noticing any 2nd rut activities. On Christmas day I shot a 8pt chasing a doe.

We went fishing while it was still warm. We're back home now, and there's a button buck and tree does in the back field.

Yeah. I am in middle TN. Our rut peaked before thanksgiving. I didn't see any chasing after opening weekend of rifle. MZ is the best time to hunt for me.

That's exactly how it is for me and has been historically. I've killed all my better bucks during muzzleoader.
