Ducks and Bucks

[Blue Water Buck]

Awesome hunts this past Saturday! Duck opener in the morning followed with some deer hunting in the afternoon!

Biglefty20 and my youngest son Lake (10) cleaned up some woodies in the morning. Matt shot'em in the face and Lake chased down and finished off a cripple. Lake would then take a 6pt later in the day for his 5th buck ever and 8th deer overall. Throw in the Tides win in the Iron Bowl and it was a heckuva day!

Thank goodness I was done deer hunting by the time duck season opened. Hard to sit in the stand with a Civil War battle breaking out next door (a duck club is my neighbor).
