Very good study, although in all my years of hunting wooded terrain, I've only shot one deer at 120 yards, and that was in a clear cut. Shots rarely exceed 50 yards. they must have had very open terrain to come up with an average shot distance for 490+ deer to be 130 or so yards.

They are probably hunting fields and food plots. These are easy to get 100 yard plus shots.
